  • So, I am a little late on reporting my calories. I woke up late last night and had to get to work and didn't have time to monkey with the internets.

    So here it is:

    I ate a lot today, but not a lot of calories. So, not too shabby. I just got back from the gym and I am going again later today. I am going to start going to the gym twice a day from now on until I lose the weight. I need to jumpstart this diet!

    I am dead tired now, so I am going to sleep.

  • [Late Start]

    So I am waking up a little later than usual today. I actually got about six hours of sleep for once! That is great compared to my 4 total hours a day. I got off work this morning and had a tiny bit of a cheat day by heading to Perkins with my buddy Mikey. We sat there chatting for a couple of hours as we had breakfast, but the numbers will decide how much of a cheat day it was when I add up my calories.Weight this morning was....

    188lbs.

    Again, not losing anything right yet... But it will happen, right? Now I am kind of worried... How fast should my weight drop? Is it normal that I haven't really lost anything yet? I mean I have only been doing this for three days now so I am not horribly worried, I guess I am just one of those people who would love to have instant results. Life isn't that easy though.

    Off topic, I think I might have burst a blood vessel in my hand at work last night. It doesn't really hurt all that bad, just looks puffy around my vein and is uncomfortable to hold things that are large or awkward shaped. I iced it while at work and it seemed to go down a lot, but I still notice it. What a pain in the butt!

    Anyways, I am off to the gym. I will report back tonight before work.

  • As I said, I hit the gym up. 25 minutes of straight cardio on the elliptical machine then I worked on the ab machine until I couldn't breath [a little exaggeration]. Lastly I used three different machines that a supposed to tone my arms [here is to hoping!] I kind of like going to the gym lately, I feel like a better person when I leave and I can tell myself "Hey, at least you are trying!" It is a good feeling.

    Anyhow, here are my food/calorie intake for the night:


    1 Bowl Quaker Oatmeal Squares w/ Skim Milk     270
    1 Banana [cut up in cereal]                                    70
    1 Leftover Taco [no cheese, less meat]                 310
    1 Cup Plain Yogurt, Fresh Fruit, Granola              275

    1 Granola Bar                                                       180
                                            Total                           1,105

    I also drink a lot of water throughout the day. I stopped drinking soda just before I started my diet and I haven't had any urges to drink it lately. Honestly, this is the best I have done in so long! I am very proud of myself, I just need to keep this up and I will be looking good by summertime.

  • [Day Two]

    Here I am again, last night was so tough at work. I had only allowed myself to eat an orange and it nearly killed me. I haven't gone an entire night not eating something terrible from that gas station in forever, but last night I did it! That really gives me hope, sure my stomach was all grumbly and what not, but I can deal with that a little and once my stomach shrinks the grumbles might too. I hopped on the scale this morning and it said.....

    187lbs.

    Only one pound, which I will gain back by eating since I weigh myself before eating now a days [it makes me feel better to see lower numbers]. But I am going in the right direction! I will be off to the gym today.. Things are getting easier, err they WILL be I mean.

    My cravings to go steal a Reese Stix candy bar off the shelf and devour it was THROUGH THE ROOF last night! But I just kept telling myself "It's either a minute of eating something that tastes amazing, or a lifetime of being fit and healthy." I chose the latter with no hesitation. I even called my boyfriend a couple times when the cravings were unbearable and just talking to him helped calm them.

    Well, I will see you later tonight with my list of foods. TTFN!

  • Today was my first day tracking my calories and I noticed I eat a lot less when I am watching the numbers. Though I need to watch my drink intake, like I said in an earlier post I am not going to be perfect to begin with.


    1 Slice Honey Wheat bread [plain/toasted]           80
    4 oz. Orange Juice w/ Calcium                             55
    1 Canadian Style Bacon Deli Sandwich              255
    3 Cups Low Fat Chocolate Milk [over the day]     525
    1 Taco w/ Whole Wheat Tortilla [light cheese]     340
    1 Orange                                                               45
                                                  Total      1,300 Calories

    I read somewhere that oranges are negative calories, so I didn't list the calories in it because I honestly don't know the calories in an orange [edited after Annee found me a calorie site]. The lettuce and green peppers on my taco are also apparently negative calories. There was also a thing I read somewhere that the amount of calories you should consume are your [weight] x 7. I am not sure where they got the 7, but that is okay I believe it. That means I can only eat 1,316 calories a day.
